Nice

Great location and very friendly staff ! We got there early in the morning with the night bus and we could have our room directly, which was amazing !

As the location is great, the place is noisy but we still could sleep very well ! Otherwise everything is a bit old but who cares

The owner was very nice, really liked him and he is very helpful. The location is really good (but only if you like the noises - during the weekend there are a lot of people around).

For me the bed was uncomfortable and noisy.

We liked hanging out area with couches.

We like old, but here was everything too old. Bed was uncomfortable and small, the whole room was actually very small, in bathroom was a lot of broken things, water was cold and they could work on cleaning too.

EVERYTHING!

EVERYTHING!! The staff is AMAZING (thanks for everything Isaï!), the location just in the main place of the Candelaria with party at night, good breakfast and dinner, the room is just what we need, Thanks for everything !

Good location , cheap hostel, but kitchen or some place to relax is missing.

The hostel is in oldest part of city . There is a lot of tourists during all day and night. And also cheap coffee or food is near :) The owner is good person , He will prepare your fried eggs:)

The atmosphere is very calm and private . Everybody is just inside rooms . It could be good to create more friendly open space. Davajte si pozor v noci na tmave ulicky.

What was the highlight of Hostal Casa Quevedo

Feels like home.

Everyone was friendly and on the very first day, we were upgraded to a private room. Great location and great view outside our room (which came with a TV :)). Not to mention this place doubles as a pizzeria so if you are having a few drinks at the plaza you can come home and enjoy some really good pizza. Breakfast was great. Fresh bread and delicious eggs and you got milk with your coffee. Very rare to get a cafe con leche in a hostel. Located in the heart of Candelaria, you are always in the middle of the action! Live music, great bars, arepas a plenty. Highly recommend.

The bathrooms aren't the best. Was wet and ran out of toilet paper.

Quirky area

- the hostel owner is very nice and friendly - the area is super quirky, artistic and colourful, you'll get the best (and only) chicha (corn beer) in one of the oldest streets of Bogota right in front of the hostel - good location - there's a small farmer's market near the hostel with fresh fruit, juices and arepa (grilled corn bread with chorizo or cheese)

- the beds are super noisy and uncomfortable due to this hygienic plastic sheet wrapped around the mattress - sometimes the lobby smelled like an ashtray - one day they were spraying some chemicals (bug repellent?) in the rooms and I had this poisonous taste in my mouth the whole day and night through - you can see through the shower and toilet doors - the area is super noisy, they were singing and playing music every night until 3am, there are also a lot of students and homeless people sitting around, smoking pot and drinking beer, but always very friendly

What was the highlight of Hostal Casa Quevedo

Perfect location, uncomfortable beds

Colourful hostel with a kind and friendly owner, a little roof terrace and pretty little rooms. Love the red and green plush sofas and all the plants. The hostel is located right in the heart of La Candelaria, at the plaza which, according to legend, is the birthplace of Bogotá. Basically, everything (including the famed graffiti tour) is short walking distance. While the breakfast was smallish, the croissant was very tasty and the coffee was okay and larger than usual.

My biggest problem were the very uncomfortable beds that had a sort of plastic mattress. I have something similar for my incontinent dog. Apart from being uncomfortable, the plastic mattress and the wodden frame make loud noises at the tiniest movement. Generally, I can sleep anywhere, but here I had some trouble. I didn't mind the noise from the plaza or that it's just a little bit grungy, but if you are a light sleeper or a clean freak, this may not be the best place for you.

One of the best wifi in Colombia.

One of the best wifi in Colombia. Right in the Plazoleta Chorro de Quevedo, the turistic center of Bogotà. Top smokers balcony with a wondeful view over Bogotà.

What was the highlight of Hostal Casa Quevedo

Great location, lovely hostel

The location is excellent, right on the square and with plenty of bars and restaurants practically next door. The staff were also really good, we had to alter our booking and then turned up really late because of problems with our flight and they didn't mind at all. Really helpful and friendly hosts! The breakfast is nice and the on-site pizza restaurant in the evenings is lovely.
